Student Evaluations

Cynthia was great all quarter! She always seemed ready to answer any question, whether it was directly or vaguely related to course content, and was always available to help out via email. Her passion for what was being taught and her background studying portraits in literature definitely led to some interesting conversations.

— Student from “Gothic Narratives” Spring 2020

My favorite class activity was our breakout groups where we worked on research or presentations together - it is a lot of fun to do this as a group.

— Student from “Revolutions” Summer 2020

“Extremely kind in her email responses. Made me feel like the teaching staff cared about what was going on outside of class with the pandemic and was very respectful.”

— Student from “Germany in 5 Words” Spring 2020

Cynthia is an extremely motivating and inspiring instructor. She wants us all to learn, now just how French works but how to effectively communicate in the language both orally and in writing. Her class is challenging but not stressful, and students are sure to come out of her class ready to speak in French, and for the next level of French.

— Student from “French 1” Fall 2020

She’s fabulously good at explaining key details.

— Student from “Capitals” Winter 2020

“Cynthia added a lot of additional information to the lecture materials in these discussion sections! In a lot of instances, she explained the more obscure and complicated readings in a way that greatly increased my understanding of the material.

— Student from “Capitals” Summer 2021
